Attorney Elizabeth O'Brien

Elizabeth O’Brien is a founding member of Lynn & O’Brien, LLP and her practice focuses on personal injury, criminal law and civil litigation. Liz vigorously represents those who have suffered an injury or loss of a loved one with expertise and compassion.


Prior to joining the firm, Mrs. O’Brien was a Deputy District Attorney for the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office, where she reviewed, evaluated and tried a variety of misdemeanor and felony cases.

Liz was raised in Santa Barbara and has an undergraduate degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara. She lived in New York City after her undergraduate degree and then returned to her hometown to receive her J.D. from Santa Barbara College of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude and was the recipient of three Witkin Awards for Academic Excellence and three Thomson Reuters Awards for Scholastic Achievement.

Liz is an adjunct professor at the Santa Barbara College of Law, a Grizzly Club member of the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation and a Board Member for the Hope Elementary School District. Liz resides in Santa Barbara with her husband and three daughters.
